Well we had an absolutely WONDERFUL day at church today. Last night and early this morning we got over 6 inches of snow here in PA, and usually that would cause us NOT to have church because we are all snowed in. So of course I was praying, as I am sure were others, that people would be able to find their way in safely to get to church. The roads seemed ok this morning, but I wasnt expecting to see too many people out today. By 11am, God's house was full!!! It was a real blessing to see that many people out. Some of who we hadnt seen for awhile.
We sang a few congregational Christmas songs, and then Bro. Perette (not sure if it is spelled correctly, I dont have my bulletin...lol) read Luke 2:1-20. His wife sang a special and then Katie and I sang a special. The picture is a little dark but you can still see us. Pastor gave a sermon on celebrating His name. And THEN he read the kids the story of the candy cane. They enjoyed it sooo much. And even though they wont admit it, I think the "big kids" enjoyed it too!
Everyone did a good job on lunch. We all had a nice time fellow shipping with each other. A lot of us stayed for quite awhile. We started a yatchee game, but became so silly, an hour later we hadnt even gotten half way done with it! lol I am so glad that we have such a nice church family. Most everyone seems to care for each other so much. We couldnt have had a better day.P.S. Remember I am still trying to get the hang of this blogging thing....i couldnt get the pics to go where I want so they are kinda just....well...everywhere...lol
